Niels Riksen has received a grant from the ERA-CVD (ERA-NET on Cardiovascular Diseases), Joint Transnational Call 2018, called MEMORY. In this consortium, Riksen aims to uncover the role of the bone marrow myeloid progenitors in the reprogramming of innate immune cells in patients with obesity, in collaboration with Andreas Schlitzer from Bonn University, and Hafid Ait-Oufella from INSERM, Paris.
